The original is way better. This song benefited greatly from the 12 min runtime. The buildup is spectacular, and cutting Bruce’s vocal lines at the end was a travesty, that’s the best part of the song.

That is why there are different perspectives. That is why for example If eternity should fail has been expanded in duration because Steve wanted it this way and Bruce not ....so much. Nicko after the release of Senjutsu said during an interview....I was keep asking the guys why do we repeat so many themes 8 times and not just 4 as we used to?

Hey, my friend. No, I am not working on anything right now. I have been listening to the Mandrake Project on and on. It's a truly good album but I am in love with the last song ''Sonata Immortal Beloved''. Tomorrow it's the release date of the album.
I like your edits, but I think that Losfer Words start in a strange point, it should be integrated in the middle of the solo. Like you, I do really love The Duellists, I think it's very narrow minded to call it "filler", it's one of the best songs of the album, the solos are simply out of this world, so good they are.

everything I do, I do it only in terms of music not lyrics. Almost every Maiden song has a powerful meaning. My point is that the original songs are out there forever and ever, nothing can change that. I just give a new perspective not in order to replace the original songs but to open a new point of view.
